If you’re an Amazon Affiliate, you may have heard that Amazon is getting rid of the option to add images using SiteStripe, effective today (December 1, 2023).

As you can see, the Image and Text+Image options are grayed out and no longer available:

And what’s more, you know all those product images you’ve previously included in your blog posts or on your website? The dozens, hundreds, or thousands of images you have added over the years? The images that contain your affiliate links?

Well, those links will all stop working on December 31, 2023.

That means you have 1 month to change over ALL of the images/links that you created using Amazon Associates SiteStripe.

If you do this by hand, this would take a LOT of hours, as you can imagine.

Luckily, there’s a much simpler way. That takes literally less than a minute!

Use this WordPress SiteStripe Image Plugin

If you have the AFFI AI WordPress plugin, then you can change over all the images/links created by SiteStripe with just a couple of clicks. It’s honestly that simple!

Here’s how you do it.

First, go to the Amazon tab for the AFFI AI plugin from the WordPress dashboard.

Scroll down to where it says “SiteStripe Converter” and click the button so it turns blue.

Next, click on “Save Changes”!

And that’s it! Your images will still look the exact same. And your affiliate links will still be the same. But they won’t be SiteStripe images anymore, so you won’t have to worry about them not working.

When I clicked on Save Changes, it took less than five seconds. And then all of the Amazon SiteStripe images on my site were converted!

The AFFI AI Plugin

The AFFI AI plugin is a wonderful solution if you want to automatically change your SiteStripe images with a plugin in WordPress – which is so preferable to having to code them all one by one by hand.

And the neat thing is that the plugin actually provides you with other benefits. It’s designed to help bloggers, entrepreneurs and anyone who does affiliate marketing.

AFFI AI is set up to display products from Amazon, Ebay, Kelkoo and Aliexpress, but you can also use it with other merchants. (Of course, you’ll need to have affiliate accounts with those merchants for the integration to work.)

And it’s pretty fun to use. For example, just now I used the keyword “ipad” and chose three products to make this:

And that’s just a random, quick example. There’s a lot more you can do with it, including carousel displays, product boxes and more.

Note:

Before you can use the SiteStripe converter or any of the other features of AFFI.AI, you’ll need to purchase, install and activate the plugin (obviously).

Right now, you can purchase AFFI AI for one site for just $39 per year. There are also other options if you need to use it on more than one website (such as $119 per year for 5 sites). And after one year, if you choose not to renew, you can still use the plugin (you just won’t get any more updates or support).

Installing the plugin is fairly quick and straightforward if you follow the documentation.  And to convert your SiteStripe images, you’ll need to get your Amazon tracking ID and Product Advertising API through the Amazon Affiliate Program. Now, that might sound a little confusing or intimidating; but luckily, it was easier than it sounds! It’s covered in the documentation, too.
