Obviously, you can’t control the weather. But dreary weather can really make your photography look less appealing.
On the other hand, perhaps you want to lean in to the overcast look. In fact, maybe you want the clouds to help create a dramatic or even foreboding effect.
Luckily, whether you want to brighten a cloudy landscape photo or create a moody aesthetic, you can do this with Lightroom presets.
Lightroom Presets for Photo Editing
Using a Lightroom preset is one of my favorite ways to edit photos because it’s just so easy. Once you’ve added a preset to Lightroom, it only takes a couple of clicks to apply its effects and save the image. It basically works like an Instagram filter, except you have so many more options.
To use Lightroom, you’ll either need Adobe Lightroom for your desktop computer (laptops count, too) or the Lightroom mobile app.
Personally, I’m rather old school and find using Lightroom on a computer to be easier. But the mobile app is definitely more convenient. You also can’t beat the price, since it’s free! (The desktop version of Lightroom requires a paid subscription.)
Ultimately, though, both versions of Lightroom do the same thing. They allow you to create stunning pictures using your own photos – and they make it quick and easy, too!
