If you are a fan of anime, then I am sure you love anime podcasts. And I am sure you have thought of starting your own anime podcast.
But you might think it is too hard. Luckily, it is not. We are going to go over the steps you can take to easily start your own podcast.
Get a Focus
The first thing you want to do is get a focus on your podcast. You know you want your podcast to be about anime. But what makes your podcast unique?

There are a lot of different topics you can discuss with anime. So your podcast could have a lot of different focuses, such as:
- News about anime & Japanese pop culture
- Anime reviews
- Anime trailer reviews
- Episodic breakdowns
- The history of anime
- A discussions of the weirdest or most obscure anime
- Women in anime
- LGBTQ anime
- Specific anime series, characters, etc., like:
- Pokemon
- Dragon Ball
- Demon Slayer
- Naruto
- Fullmetal Alchemist
- My Hero Academia
- Sailor Moon
Name Your Podcast
Now that you have a good idea of your focus, it’s time to come up with a name. You can make your name unique. But it’s also a good idea to make sure it fits your theme. For example, the podcast Anime Addicts Anonymous is clearly about anime but is also unique. You want people searching for anime podcasts to be able to find your podcast, and you want them to know that your podcast is something they’d be interested in listening to.
Start a Business
Now that you have a name for your podcast, it’s time to register yourself legally as a business. This is something you don’t have to do if you are not planning on earning money with your anime podcast. But earning money from your podcast can be a great way to start a side hustle – and perhaps eventually your main source of income.
You could earn a lot of money from a podcast, after all. For example, you could get sponsors. I’m sure you’ve heard podcasts before where the host mentioned their sponsors. They can be general sponsors (like an insurance company) or more specific to your field (like a video game company or platform or a comic con).
