Sharing is caring!

With the NFL season quickly approaching, now is the time for fantasy football!  And, like a lot of us, you probably think about fantasy football a lot.  Over the years, you’ve probably become a bit of an expert.  People probably come to you for your fantasy football advice.  So have you ever thought about putting your fantasy football knowledge to good use by starting a fantasy football podcast?

Well, now is the perfect time to stop thinking and start doing!  You might think it sounds too hard, but it’s actually not.  Not if you follow our step-by-step guide to starting your own fantasy football podcast.

Setting Up A Business

Are you planning on making money for this podcast?  People with podcasts can earn a lot of money.  There are a lot of different ways to make money from a podcast.  We go over some of them here.

But if you are only interested in doing this for fun and you don’t want to make money, that’s obviously fine, too!  And you can skip this step.

But if yes, then keep on reading.  You will need to step up a business for legal purposes.  This can protect you.  Not that I expect someone to sue you because their fantasy team didn’t do well, but still.  It’s just a good idea.  I would go ahead and get an LLC.  I get more detail about getting an LLC here.  And you can check your local rules for starting a business.

Get The Tools To Get Started

Once you have your business set up, it is time to get started with the fun stuff!

There are some things, though, that you will need to start a podcast that you may not already have.  This includes a microphone, recording and editing software, etc.  We go through a full checklist of what you need to get started here.

Now Get Started

Now that you have the right tools in place, it is time to get started!  So start planning how you want to format your shows, whether or not you want a co-host, etc.  And here’s to having a great fantasy football season, both in your league and with your podcast!
