Business reviews can certainly help or hurt a business. At Website Tips & Tutorials, we’ve previously discussed ways to deal with negative reviews.
Sometimes, though, you might want to avoid those potential issues altogether.
Have you ever wondered if you can turn off reviews on Facebook? If you have wondered about this, read on! We’re going to show you how to disable reviews on on a Facebook page that’s using the new Page experience.
How to Turn Off Reviews on a Facebook Business Page
Facebook has been rolling out a new Pages experience. The steps for changing your settings to not allow reviews on your Facebook page are a little different than they used to be. We’ll go through them right now. Please note that these steps are for turning reviews off by using a computer or laptop.
First, make sure that you’re currently using the Facebook Profile that corresponds to the page you want to edit. For example, if you want to get rid of reviews on a page you run called We Love Cats, you’ll click on the small circle in the upper right hand corner of Facebook, click where it says See all profiles, and then select the profile We Love Cats.
Now that you know you’re on the correct profile, go to your Facebook page.
Click on the three dots on the right hand side.
Out of those options that pop up when you click on the three dots, click on “Page and tagging settings.”
Now, under the heading “Page and Tagging” and subheading “Page,” you’ll see an option that reads “Allow others to view and leave reviews on your Page?” Click on the menu toggle so that the white circle is on the left side and the right side is gray.
And you’re done! Reviews have now been turned off on your Facebook page.

What if you want to do the opposite? Maybe you previously had disabled the option to leave reviews, but now you want to allow your customers and clients to share their experiences in the form of reviews.
Well, the exact same steps apply. The only difference is at the end, when you’ll toggle reviews on instead of off. In that case, the white circle will be on the right, and the other side will be blue.
