Are you thinking about building a directory website? Directories are a wonderful online resource. Perhaps you want to build a directory of local businesses for your town. Maybe you would like to make a directory for a niche business, such as pet services or martial arts studios.
Maybe you want more of a healthcare focus for your directory. You could build a directory for all doctors or a specific field such as dentists.
You could also build a directory more for the travel industry, such as a directory of attractions, restaurants, or hotels.
Maybe you want to build a directory for freelance workers. Or for community or charity organizations. Or schools or real estate.
As you can see, there are so many different directions you can go with a directory website. And you may have specific things you want to do with your directory in your mind. And in that case, you might want to consider using Drupal to build this new website.
Drupal is an open-source content management system so anyone can use it. But a thing that is great about Drupal is that it can build websites that are a lot more complicated than some other CMS systems that are more built for beginners. I used Drupal to build a website a few years ago when I couldn’t do what I wanted to do using WordPress.
But I didn’t start from scratch. I started with a Drupal theme, which makes things a lot easier.
